Voting & Elections
Knowlton Township holds two elections each year. The election dates are as follows:
Primary Election – Held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in June. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
General Election and School Board – Held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In Knowlton Township, voting takes place at the Municipal Building located at 628 Route 94, Columbia, NJ.
Voter Eligibility
You may register to vote if you are a U.S. citizen who is:
- 18 years old by election day
- a resident of Knowlton Township at least 30 days before an election
- not adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to be lacking the capacity to understand the act of voting
- not serving a sentence or on parole or probation for an indictable offense
When to Register
You may register to vote at any time. However, the registration deadline to vote at the next election is 21 days prior to election day.
