The Knowlton Township Senior Citizens organization‘s purpose is to promote and recognize the needs of all senior citizens in Knowlton Township by establishing recreational, social and educational activities in cooperation with the Warren County Council of Senior Citizens and the Office of Aging to help improve the lifestyle of senior citizens.

This organization is non-sectarian, non-political and non-profit.  Membership is open to any senior citizen above the age of fifty-five (55) and their spouses who are residents of Knowlton Township and of adjoining townships.

The Knowlton Township Seniors meet the 1st Friday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at the Knowlton United Methodist Church on Route 94 in Knowlton (unless special events are planned for that day). Membership is $25.00 per year and each member receives a schedule outlining the planned events for the year. Residents of adjoining townships are also welcome to join for $25.00, and pay additional costs for any trips they would like to attend.

At the monthly meeting, members are updated on community news and events, and enjoy playing Bingo for food products or home goods. Meetings foster lively conversation between the members, especially during coffee and dessert. Tasty desserts are provided by the members.

For additional entertainment, guest speakers, trivia challenge, covered-dish lunches, pizza parties, ice-cream socials, free flu shot event, musical shows, holiday celebrations, and excursions to plays with lunch are planned. Bus transportation, if needed, is provided to off-site events. Each year concludes with a Christmas/Holiday luncheon. More than an event, it offers the opportunity to bring us all together to celebrate a great year.

If interested in joining, please contact President Betty Cestari at (908) 496-4197.
