Welcome to the Knowlton Township Environmental Commission
Naturally Knowlton Green Team
On April 27, 2026, the Knowlton Township Committee re-established the Knowlton Township Environmental Commission (KTEC) and formally created the Naturally Knowlton Green Team (NK-GT) through a single amending ordinance — recognizing that protecting our community and sustaining what makes it special are inseparable goals.
The Environmental Commission
The Environmental Commission is a volunteer advisory board dedicated to promoting the preservation of Knowlton’s unique rural character by guiding the community in protecting natural resources, advancing environmental sustainability, enhancing quality of life, and strengthening our relationship with the environment for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations.
The Naturally Knowlton Green Team
The Knowlton Township Environmental Commission’s Naturally Knowlton Green Team operates under the Environmental Commission and is inspired by the remarkable programs that already make this community special — from our trails, farmland, and open spaces to our historic resources, pollinator habitats, and eco-tourism destinations. The Delaware River, the Paulins Kill, and their tributaries are vital to the character and quality of life that define this Township, supporting hunting, fishing, water recreation, and the simple enjoyment of nature that generations of residents and visitors have treasured. The exceptional quality of these waters is a resource we are proud to steward and committed to protecting for present and future generations. By coordinating these programs under a Sustainable Jersey framework, Naturally Knowlton works to certify Knowlton as a sustainable municipality, making the Township eligible for community outreach funding and grants that help support and grow the very programs our community values most.
Advancing Our Environmental Goals – Guided by the Township Master Plan
Everything we do is grounded in the goals and objectives of the Knowlton Township Master Plan.
